Precision Care with Dr. Reker

one that looks beyond whether labs fall within a broad “normal” range and instead focuses on how your body is actually functioning.

In functional medicine, normal doesn’t always mean optimal.
Symptoms can still exist even when labs are technically “within range.” This approach helps identify patterns, imbalances, and early dysfunction that may be contributing to how you feel.

At Southwest Dietitian Group, functional medicine care is offered as a Precision-level service in collaboration with Dr. Reker, a naturopathic medical doctor. This care is designed to complement your nutrition care and is introduced thoughtfully, when appropriate.

Some health concerns benefit from a functional medicine approach —

  • Hormone health (including cycle concerns, perimenopause, menopause, and hormone-related symptoms)
  • Gut health concerns (such as persistent digestive symptoms, IBS, SIBO/SIFO, or unexplained GI issues)
  • Medical weight loss support, especially when progress has stalled despite consistent nutrition and lifestyle changes
Functional medicine services with Dr. Reker may be helpful for:
Care is individualized and includes advanced lab evaluation, interpretation through a functional lens, and targeted medical treatment.

INITIAL CONSULTATION: 2 payments of $225
regular follow-up visit: $255
acute/ WEIGHT LOSS follow-up visit: $155

Follow up frequency is based on your goals and visit reason. Most commonly, follow-ups are required at 90-days when you are first getting started or for more complex cases.

After establishment of your care, follow-ups are commonly every six months and require new labs.

Acute follow-up visits are required for quarterly medical weight loss follow-ups or can be used for acute needs such as new issues, new medication requests, or change in pharmacy requests.

Current formulation prices (which are subject to change):

Semaglutide: about $175 per vial
Tirzeptide: about $255 per vial

The awesome part? With our low-dose approach, each vial lasts 1.5-3 months.

We don’t mark up the medication like the weight loss clinics. Dr. Reker sends your prescription to a compounding pharmacy at their direct price - no markups from us.

**Since we use non-standard dosing, which requires a compounding pharmacy, we do NOT run any GLP-1 medications through insurance. You pay the pharmacy directly.
