As the years past by my weight would get higher and higher and I would always say I am going to make a change this time... After trying almost everything including being denied for gastric bypass because my insurance wouldn’t cover it, I basically gave up. I just continued to eat and not exercise and soon I was just above 320. The HBC Weight Loss Program is the first program that was NOT about not the diet, not even the lifestyle, but about changing the mind. I am down 36 pounds and the great part is I can have my cake, dessert or whatever and it doesn’t derail me anymore. My all-or-nothing thinking is gone. I wanted to share my transformation the last few months that all started because I went to Maya's workshop for a school project. While at the workshop I realized I was in my own way of choosing a healthier life for me and that there is a way to get to where I want to go. I learned to recenter myself and not get caught up in all the craziness of the world and refocus. Because of this I was able to finally say yes to my health program and I've stuck with it for 9 weeks now and plan on going all the way to my goal weight and maintaining it. I've already lost 20 pounds and more importantly my mind is in it finally! I've been able to say no to foods I shouldn't eat and habits that were pulling me down into sickness. I've started working the Habit and Behavior Change Curriculum now to help me even more in my journey and I'm so excited! I've dieted before and it would last for about a month or so and I would fall off harder because my mind wasn't truly in the transformation I wanted to become. I love all the uplifting posts in the Community and they hel pme through those hard times and I can't wait to dig through more of my chains that are keeping me from being the best me. Thank you for helping me se there is a light to the whole part of being health (body, mind and soul)!

Maya has helped me by being more accountable. I thought I had good eating and exercise habits until I started giving more purpose to it by tracking. Maya will teach you there is nothing wrong in what you are doing, rather, just an adjustment to what you're currently doing.
